Boko Haram fighters are reportedly attacking residents of Dapchi in Yobe State.
The attack is coming hours after troops reportedly engaged ISWAP fighters in five hours gun battle in Danboa, Borno State.
The insurgents later fled abandoning 18 trucks and scores of dead bodies of their colleagues.
An unconfirmed number of security personnel, including members of the Civilian JTF and hunters also died during the battle.
Security sources disclosed that the insurgents who came in several vehicles have burnt many houses in Dapchi town.
Reports also say that many residents have fled the town.
More than 100 schoolgirls were abducted on February 19, 2018, during an attack on Dapchi by the insurgents.
