A 2-storey building has collapsed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Friday evening, with many site workers feared trapped in the rubble.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the incident occurred at Sogoye, along Idi Arere- Molete Road, at about 5.50pm.
Rescue workers have reportedly pulled out three persons from the debris.
Eyewitnesses told NewsmakersNG that the property was being developed for commercial purpose and was near completion before it caved in.
They claimed that a number of construction workers were still trapped in the debris.
Men of the fire service are currently at the scene but heavy equipment needed to remove the debris are yet to arrive.
