Nigerian Ifa priest, Prince Rasheed Adewale Adefioye, aka Adimula, has joined the historic race for a political seat in the forthcoming local government election in Sao Paulo, Brazil
Considered as a favourite for a Councillorship seat in the district of Itaquaquecetuba, a local government area in Sao Paulo, Adefioye who is the spiritual leader of Ile Axé Adimula in Itaquaquecetuba, Sao Paulo, was born to a royal family in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
He arrived Brazil in 2001 as a Yoruba traditionalist and has since been involved in the sociocultural and religious activities in the Latin American country and the Americas.
Adefioye told NewsmakersNG: “I am here to offer my very best to the immigrant communities in Itaquaquecetuba and in the city of Sao Paulo. I will write my name as another Nigerian making the country proud abroad. I will promote intercultural activities between Nigeria and Brazil. I will encourage Nigerian immigrant settlements in the district of Itaquaquecetuba. I will encourage metropolitan police securities in the district of Itaquaquecetuba. I will assure a settled place for Nigerians who want to relocate to Itaquaquecetuba.”
Adimula is running on the Avante platform and the number is 70428.
