Policemen who allegedly shot and killed a Lagos-based lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, will appear in court tomorrow, says the President of the Nigerian Bar Association – Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau SAN.
Forty-one-year-old Bolanle Raheem was on Christmas Day 2022 shot to death by an officer attached to Ajiwe Police Station identified by the authorities as Drambi Vandi. The victim’s family said that she was pregnant with twins.
Responding to questions raised by an activist at the 19th Annual Gani Fawehinmi Lecture organized by NBA Ikeja Branch, at the Airport Hotel, Lagos, Maikyau announced to the gathering that he was informed by the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN, who represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the event, that the suspected killers will be arraigned in court on Monday, January 16, 2023.
