National Coordinator of the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) programme at the Bank of Industry (BOI), Ife Adebayo, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the second edition of the QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit scheduled for August 11, 2026, in Lagos.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by Mighty Media Plus Network Limited, publishers of the online newspaper QEDNG.
The summit, which will hold at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, is themed “Creativity, Culture and Nigeria’s Next Chapter” and will explore how stronger collaboration among government, investors and the creative sector can drive economic growth, create jobs and promote sustainable development.
Adebayo, a technology and innovation expert with more than 16 years of experience across Germany, the United Kingdom and Nigeria, currently oversees the implementation of the African Development Bank-backed iDICE programme at the Bank of Industry.
The $617 million initiative is aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s digital technology and creative ecosystem by expanding access to finance for startups, supporting enterprise and skills development, and fostering an enabling business environment.
Before assuming his current role, Adebayo served as Special Assistant on Innovation to Nigeria’s Vice President between 2015 and 2023, where he advised the Federal Government on innovation policies and strategies for the country’s digital technology and creative industries.
His professional portfolio also includes leading and supporting projects funded by international development partners, including the World Bank, African Development Bank, French Development Agency and Islamic Development Bank.
A graduate of Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Adebayo also holds a master’s degree in Business Information Systems from the University of East London.
Speaking on the announcement, QEDNG Publisher, Olumide Iyanda, described Adebayo as a fitting choice to lead discussions at this year’s summit, citing his extensive experience at the intersection of innovation, investment and public policy.
“This year’s summit is about shaping Nigeria’s next chapter through creativity and culture. That conversation cannot happen without addressing innovation, investment and the policies that help creative businesses grow. Ife Adebayo brings practical experience from working at the centre of those conversations, and we are delighted to have him deliver the keynote address,” Iyanda said.
Adebayo succeeds Dr. Nkiru Balonwu, founder of The Africa Soft Power Group, who delivered the keynote address at the inaugural QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit in 2025.
The maiden edition attracted prominent stakeholders from government, business and the creative industries, with discussions centred on financing as a catalyst for accelerating the growth of Nigeria’s creative economy.
