A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Osun has told how thugs used sticks and stones to crack his head today as he was invited for an interview by Channels TV’s Seun Okinbaloye during the supplementary election in the state.
Mr Tope Elusogbon, who identified himself as a lawyer numbered among several stakeholders including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who observed that today’s election was not free and fair.
There were complaints of voters being beaten and disenfranchised and those of journalists, party agents, and accredited election observers who were chased away from polling units.
INEC early in the morning acknowledged the harassment on its Twitter page.
The police are yet to arrest anyone in connection with the attack on Elusogbon at Olode area of Osun.
