Some casualties have been recorded by Nigerian soldiers as they fought their way out of an ambush by Boko Haram terrorists along Maiduguri-Damboa Road.
According to the Military authorities, troops of 25 Task Force Brigade on fighting patrol came under Boko Haram Terrorists’ Improvised Electronic Device (IED) attack along Maiduguri-Damboa Road yesterday.
“Many terrorists were neutralized. Unfortunately, some gallant soldiers paid the supreme price. Reconnaissance and Reinforcements are ongoing,” says the Nigerian Army on its Twitter handle, while pleading that those who live in the area should provide information about injured and escaping Boko Haram Terrorists hibernating in their localities.
