A black American woman, Jakiyah Lynn, has shared an emotional tweet in which recalled how her mum who was pregnant with twins went missing six years ago.
According to Jakiyah, her body was later found after she had been raped, beaten and set ablaze.
She lamented that the lot of black people still remained unchanged, as black women and children still go missing.
She consequently advised fellow blacks to “wake up and pay attention. Cherish those around you and keep the ones you love safe”.
She further wrote: “Today marks 6 years, I was always taught to hide my emotions and not to speak on it. Today I’m breaking free, some things need to change. I love you girly, no matter how others judged you.”
