Beware of Dr. Moses!
That was the message from the management of Lagos State University (LASU) to candidates seeking admission into the institution.
The university in a statement on Friday warned prospective candidates against falling prey to admission racketeers headed by the said Dr. Moses.
The statement says the syndicate has been defrauding the public under the guise of helping them secure admission into LASU.
The university said admission exercise for the 2017 academic session had ended and advised candidates to regard any offer of admission as a scam.
The statement signed by the acting Head, Centre for Information Press and Public Relations, Ademola Adekoya, reads: “It is regrettable that in-spite of repeated and well-publicized warnings by the Lagos State University Authority, some unsuspecting candidates have continued to fall for the antics of scammers, under various guises, who defraud them with the promise of arranging admission for them into the university.
“The latest of such is one Dr Moses with the phone number 07032620652 who has been using the social media to claim that he can assist candidates who are yet to get admitted secure admission, ostensibly with a price.
“The university management hereby states categorically, as it had earlier done, that admission into the Lagos State University for the 2017/2018 Academic Session is closed.
“Candidates who were unable to gain admission in the admission exercise may explore other programmes in the university including the LASU Foundation (JUPEB), Pre-Degree and other Diploma programmes whose forms are still on sale.”
