Police authorities in Abuja have announced the arrest of a gang leader wanted in connection with over 50 kidnappings along the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway.
He was identified as 40-year-old Bello Audu aka Yellow.
The man, who was arrested by the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), led by DCP Abba Kyari, claimed to have kidnapped over 50 victims for ransom.
Yellow, a Fulani man, who could not speak English, has appeared in a videoed police interview in his native language.
