Armed robbers this afternoon attacked a branch of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) in Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, killing two persons.
The victims included a young girl said to be about five years old and a plainclothes policeman guarding the bank.
The robbers also reportedly set fire to a police patrol van in the course of the operation.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the robbers gained entrance into the banking hall after blowing up the door with dynamite.
They were said to have escaped with huge amount of money.
