Tension is mounting in Edo State as policemen go after suspected assassins who stormed the residence of Owan East Local Government Chairman, Andrew Osigwe, and riddled properties with bullets.
NewsmakersNG learnt that Osigwe and members of his family had a narrow escape as the gunmen allegedly shot at them.
Already, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who saw the attack as an assassination attempt, are pointing accusing fingers at the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reports say police authorities have vowed to arrest the perpetrators and some dark spots have been raided.
