The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has vowed to continue with its prolonged industrial action despite payment of minimum wage arrears to its members by the federal government.
This is contained in a statement, yesterday, by ASUU Chairman, UNILAG Chapter, Dr Dele Ashiru.
The statement noted that payment of the arrears was not one of ASUU’s core demands.
The statement reads in part, “ASUU won’t resume work despite the Federal Government’s payment of minimum wage arrears. Our members are reminded that this is not one of the core demands upon which the ongoing strike action is premised.”
