ASUU Leadership Meets August 1, Hints at Extending Strike Indefinitely

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says its National Executive Council will be meeting on August 1 to review its ongoing strike which it commenced on February 14.

The body in a tweet via its official Twitter handle discloses that the meeting will be solely considering the proposal to extend the strike indefinitely.

The tweet reads, “The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (@ASUUNGR) will be meeting on the 1st of August 2022.

“They are considering an indefinite strike this time around, and not the usual roll-over warning strike.”
