The ancient town of Apomu in Osun State is generating some excitement, as activities marking the 60th birthday anniversary of the Monarch begins with a trendsetting exhibition of culture.

Vibes from the palace of Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Kayode Afolabi, shows that the celebration commenced on Thursday with Olori Janet Afolabi Foundation’s  maiden Apomu Adire Festival.

According to the Queen, the aim is to promote cultural tourism and empower indigent hard working youths who want to make a living through the making of Adire.

The event was supported by Dr. Bolanle Olawale Babalakin’s Bi- Courtney Aviation Services Limited.
