The Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) has successfully concluded its 2nd Annual National Conference themed “Gnosis and Epiphany” at the BCOS NUJ Hall, Bashorun, Ibadan.

The week-long event drew theatre professionals, academics, researchers, and enthusiasts from across Nigeria and beyond, providing a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange, capacity building, and artistic showcase.

Anchored on the twin concepts of knowledge and revelation, the conference featured thought-provoking keynote speeches and interactive panel sessions led by respected industry veterans and scholars.

Discussions explored a range of vital topics such as financial budgeting and cost-effective production methods, essential acting skills for stage and screen, and emerging challenges and remedies in cinematography and film production.

One of the major highlights of the conference was the official unveiling of the new ANTP Digital National Identity Card, a milestone initiative aimed at digitizing the association’s membership database and streamlining access to welfare and professional benefits. The innovation was championed by the National President, Dr. Rasak Oyadiran, as part of efforts to modernize the association’s operations.

The event attracted top government officials and dignitaries, including Mrs. M.A. Agboola, Acting Permanent Secretary and representative of the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Oyo State, as well as members of the ANTP Board of Trustees.

In its closing remarks, the association commended its members for their active participation and expressed appreciation to Dr. Oyadiran and the conference planning committee for delivering what it described as a resounding success.
