The immediate past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Nigeria Theatre-Arts Practitioners (ANTP), Ambassador (Dr) Yemi Farounbi has advanced the idea of an Endowment Fund for the Association to achieve its lofty dreams.

Impressed by the programmes outlined by the ANTP President, Dr Rasak Baroka Oyadiran, Dr Farounbi said the BOT will give the new exco full support in every area towards the realization of its tall dreams for ANTP.

The board also proposed a special dinner to host the Association’s National Executive Council in January 2024.

The pledge to host the new executive came up at a consultative meeting between the NEC and the BOT on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Ambassador (Dr.) Yemi Farounbi’s House in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Dr Farounbi said, “This is the first ANTP administration that has made regular consultation with the BOT on its proposed programmes. Apart from this, this is the first time I am personally excited about the programme of activities of an ANTP exco, and I will ensure they receive every support from the BOT. “

“It is because this present President and his executive team are so different from any other in the past, because of their vision and mission to redefine ANTP that the BOT shall be celebrating them with a dinner in January 2024.”

“I will set the necessary machinery in motion to organise an endowment fund for ANTP to further assist the new administration to achieve its lofty dreams.”

In his remarks, Elder Oyewole Olowomojuore, popularly known as ” Baba Gebu” also commended the missions of the new ANTP National Executives Council. He said that Dr Rasak Baroka Oyadiran, going by his visions for the Association and his leadership qualities, promises to be the best president of ANTP.

The meeting was well attended by members of NEC from all over Nigeria, including the immediate past President, Prince Adewale Adeoye Elesho, the current National Deputy President, Mr Rufai Abiodun Oodua, the Vice President (North), Comrade Ibrahim Mabolaje, the National General Secretary, Princess Adeteju Agunlejika, the National PRO, Prince Femi Adejonwo, the Natural Treasurer, Mr Sunday Jegede, the national Asst.
