The Ogun State Police Command has arraigned a medical doctor for allegedly falsifying a medical report to help Nigerian activist and social media blogger, Adetoun Onajobi, popularly known as @justadetoun, evade police invitations over six cyberbullying charges filed at the Federal High Court, Abeokuta.
The charges relate to Onajobi’s online posts targeting Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, which authorities allege contained false accusations in breach of the Cybercrimes Act.
Her videos claimed that the state government abandoned victims of a December 2025 accident involving Anthony Joshua, lacked functional ambulances, and accused the governor of embezzlement, inappropriate personal conduct, and unlawful property seizures.
The police invited Onajobi on January 2, 2026 to provide her account of the allegations. Instead, she reportedly submitted a medical report through her lawyer, claiming she was unfit to attend due to health challenges.
Investigations revealed that the report was fabricated. The doctor admitted that it was prepared at Onajobi’s direction during a phone conversation facilitated by her lawyer.
The doctor has now been arraigned before an Ogun State Magistrates’ Court on charges of conspiracy, uttering a false document, and obstructing justice.
Meanwhile, Onajobi remains at large, evading all police invitations, with her current whereabouts unknown.
The Ogun State Police Command stated that while free speech is constitutionally protected, it does not grant immunity from criminal conduct.
The command is also pursuing other individuals allegedly involved in spreading false information connected to Onajobi’s claims.
