The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the driver of the Lexus SUV involved in the accident that left two people dead and injured former world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.

The Command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, announced moments ago that the suspected driver is now in custody and is assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries into the tragic incident.

According to police preliminary findings, the Lexus SUV reportedly ran into a stationary truck on Monday at approximately 11 a.m., resulting in the deaths of two occupants of the vehicle, both said to be foreign nationals.

Anthony Joshua, who was injured in the accident, has been treated and discharged at a hospital in Lagos.
