Another Man Jumps into Lagos Lagoon

The Lagos Lagoon has witnessed yet another suicide.

In what has been a recurring decimal, an unidentified man reportedly jumped into the lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge this afternoon.

NewsmakersNG learnt that officials of the ​Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the Marine Police and other ​relevant agencies are at the scene​.​

A medical doctor at Mount Sinai Hospital in Surulere, Dr Allwell Orji, recently committed suicide by jumping into the lagoon after he asked his driver to stop on the bridge.

There have been several cases of suicide and attempted suicide at the Lagos Lagoon this year, the police once revealed.
