Lagos Island residents hit the panic button again, early today, as another building collapsed just five blocks away from the one that claimed the lives of several school children and some residents three days ago.
NewsmakersNG learnt that no casualty was recorded in today’s incident at 15, Akatira Street, off Ita-Faji, in Adeniji Adele area of Lagos Island, an adjacent street to the site where a three-storey building housing a school collapsed on Wednesday.
A demolition squad that had already descended on five buildings in the area later moved in to knock down what remained of the collapsed building.
