Wanted terrorist Cesari Batist has been captured in Bolivia, far from where he was expected to be found in Africa or Asia.

The Italian convict declared wanted in Brazil and Italy for an alleged crime committed years back in Italy was nabbed by the Bolivian Police near the city of Santa Cruz, in Bolivia

The Italian terrorist was running from a life sentence handed down to him, in ltaly, for alleged homicide cases committed in 1970 tagged “Anos de Chumbo” in Italy. He was, however, conceded a political asylum status in Brazil by the former leftist leader, Lula da Silva which was later annulled by the Supreme Court of Brazil in November 2018.

Former President Michel Temer in November authorized the extradition of the said terrorist to face the life sentence slammed on him by the Italian court after the verdict of the Supreme Court was confirmed.

The terrorist who refused to report to the police in Brazil for extradition after the court verdict fled to a hideout in Bolivia but he was caught by the Bolivian police following a tip-off from the Federal Police of Brazil.

Cesari Batista facing extradition to Italy

Batista is expected to arrive Italy to serve his life sentence today.

At exactly 18 hours Brazilian time, the Bolivian Police and Immigrations handed over the terrorist to the Police delegations from Italy who had positioned a Boeing Jet on the Bolivian soil to convey the convict back to Italy where he escaped years back to serve the life sentence slammed on him.
