Angola is poised to showcase its emergence as one of Africa’s foremost destinations for mining investment and industrial growth as the countdown begins to the Angola International Mining Conference (AIMC 2025) — a landmark event scheduled for October 22–23 in Luanda.

Organised by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas (MIREMPET) in partnership with Sankofa Advisory Group, VUKA Group, and Bumbar Mining, the two-day conference will bring together over 500 delegates and 70 global speakers under the theme “Driving Investment, Innovation and Industrialisation in Angola’s Mining Sector.”

According to H.E. Diamantino Pedro Azevedo, Minister of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas, Angola is entering “a new era of transformation.”

“Through strategic reforms and dynamic partnerships, Angola is committed to ensuring that its mineral wealth fuels industrialisation, creates jobs, and fosters long-term prosperity,” he said.

The conference will spotlight Angola’s mineral potential, reforms, and efforts to attract international investors. One of the highlights will be the launch of the Digital Mining Register, a transparent, data-driven platform designed to simplify investment procedures and ensure accountability in the mining sector.

The event will feature sessions on:
• Investment and financing strategies in Angola’s mining sector
• Leadership and private sector engagement in mining development
• Regulatory frameworks, governance, and risk mitigation
• Sustainable logistics, community engagement, and environmental stewardship
• Angola’s geological potential and strategic positioning in global markets
