Anglican Priest, Church Worker, Kidnapped in Anambra

The Vicar of St. James’ Anglican Church, Ichi, under the Diocese of Nnewi in Anambra State, Venerable Ekene Iroanusi, has been abducted by unknown gunmen.

Advent Cable Network Nigeria Television (ACNNTV) reports that Iroanusi was abducted, yesterday, along with a church worker, Mr. Justice Anyanwu.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the two men were returning from a funeral ceremony at Nnewichi village, in Nnewi, when the incident happened.

The kidnappers were said to have intercepted them along the road within Uruagu village, in Nnewi.

The abductors are yet to communicate with either the family or the church.
