President Donald Trump has come under attack from critics today in the United States after he placed a banner post on his Twitter handle saying: ‘Great News on Vaccines!’
Apparently referring to COVID-19 vaccines, Trump cast the headline without telling the story.
One of the respondents with the tag The Resistor Sister told the American President, “We will be at 140, 000 dead Americans by EOD, and there is NOTHING GREAT about that.” Then, she added, “And your “great news” about vaccines is nothing but more propaganda.”
Another Twitter user, Leasa Fisher @Ifishgirl67 says, “Florida has confirmed >77,000 #coronavirus cases in just 7 days; 54 hospitals have no ICU beds; 40 have <10% capacity. The virus is spreading uncontrollably, new #COVID19 cases are exploding, and the death toll soon will soar. You are literally killing us!”
In yet another attack, a Twitter user with the name kweaver4 @kweaver4 says, “Bad New on Presidential Leadership! Zero plan or direction from the White House. Masking, Testing and PPE supplies are a disaster, costing lives and prolonging the pandemic which is a burden to healthcare providers and the economy.”
Kweaver4 attached a banner to the post saying: “Donald J. Trump is now the leading cause of death in the United States.”
NewsmakersNG reports that as of today, the COVID-19 death figure in the U.S. stands at 140, 564, which is 23.8 per cent of the global death rate that is 589, 481.
