Lagos State commissioner of police (CP), Mr Imohimi Edgal, yesterday received seven additional vehicles from Lagos State government to strengthen his crime-fighting efforts.
Donated under the Lagos State Security Trust Fund scheme that had earlier supported the state command with hundreds of vehicles, keys to the new Nissan NP300 vehicles were handed over to the CP at a brief ceremony at the state headquarters in Ikeja yesterday.
Edgal received the keys from the Executive Secretary, Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr Abdurrazaq Balogun and the Admin Manager, Mr Lewis ‘Degbola.
Before the vehicle was test-driven by Edgal, he said, “The Lagos State Security Trust Fund donated the vehicles to enhance our efficiency and service delivery to the people, and ensure that crime rate is brought to barest minimum.”
He thanked the state government but asked for more support.
