Barely two months after mounting the throne, the Akarigbo of Remoland in Ogun State, HRM Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, has lost his wife.
A terse statement received by NewsmakersNG today says: “It is with sadness and gratitude to the Almighty God, that the Akarigbo Palace wishes to announce the death of HRM’s dear wife & Olori, Dr Linga Ajayi MBBCH, FMCS , FWACS, FRCS(Ed), a Surgeon at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, United Kingdom after a long and protracted illness. May her soul rest in peace.Amen.”
According to the statement from the palace, the Late Dr Ajayi trained at Lagos University Teaching Hospital. She was a fellow of National Postgraduate Medical College Nigeria; a fellow of West African Postgraduate Medical College and a fellow of Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.
Burial arrangements are yet to be announced.
