Lagos businessman and philanthropist, Mr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, has donated logistics materials worth millions of naira to the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Lagos State, in support of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The presentation, which took place at Cathedral Church Primary School, Broad Street, Lagos Island, was attended by the 57 local government area (LGA) chairmen of the APC.
Ajose presented each of the 57 LGAs with HP desktop printers, Lenovo laptops, generators, MTN Wi-Fi devices with six-month subscriptions, standing fans, surge protectors, computer mice, and awareness banners. He also gave ₦200,000 to each LGA chairman to support the mobilisation of party members and residents for the CVR exercise, which began on Friday, August 15.
Explaining his gesture, Ajose said his contribution was driven by the “remarkable performance” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration at both federal and state levels.
“The secret of continuity is to win elections, and to win elections, you must record massive votes. That can only happen when citizens have access to their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs),” Ajose said. “We want the exercise to go to the grassroots, reach the common man, and make a positive change in our society.”
The 49-year-old philanthropist, an indigene of Badagry and CEO of the Samuel Ajose Foundation, added that the initiative was part of plans to ensure a sweeping victory for President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
Lagos APC chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, represented by his deputy, Hon. Moshood Mayegun, praised Ajose’s commitment to the party.
“Your actions today have shown the undiluted love you have for the APC and for members of the public. You have written your name in gold in the hearts of party members,” Mayegun said.
The Conference of 57 LGA Chairmen, led by Hon. Mayegun Dalley Adeokun and his deputy, Hon. Rasheed Shobaloju, also thanked Ajose, pledging that the materials would be used judiciously.
Ajose, known for his philanthropic contributions to the APC, previously supported 15 chairmanship candidates from Badagry division with ₦10 million each, empowered 250 female traders with ₦200,000 each, and recently donated ₦18 million to strengthen the capital base of the 57 LGA cooperative society.
He called on Lagos residents to take advantage of the CVR window to register and obtain their PVCs, stressing that beyond voting, the card remains an important tool for civic engagement.
