Kolapo Kola-Daisi, son-in-law of former Oyo State governor, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has won the Oyo South Senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The primary election which gave 43-year-old Kolapo, son of renowned industrialist, Chief Kola Daisi, victory took place in Ibadan, today.
NewsmakersNG reports that Kola-Daisi defeated a former Secretary to the Oyo State government, Alhaji Sharafadeen Ali, as well as a younger brother of the Olubadan of Ibadan and incumbent senator, Kola Balogun, to clinch the ticket.
Senator Balogun, who is currently representing Oyo Central Senatorial District in the Senate, recently defected from Peoples Democratic Party to the APC.
Others who took part in the primary election include, Bimbo Adekanbi, Adesoji Akanbi, Adegboyega Adegoke and Waheed Olajide.
