The Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) Alumni Association has taken a bold step toward global expansion with the launch of new branches in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The association also inaugurated new chapters in key Nigerian cities—Abuja, Lagos, and Ibadan.

Announcing the development in a statement today, ACU Alumni President, Busoye Ogunlade, emphasized that the expansion aligns with his vision to strengthen alumni engagement worldwide. New executives have been appointed to lead the chapters for the next three years:

  • United States Coordinator: Temitope Okegbemiro
  • United Kingdom Coordinator: Omowumi Yewande Ajayi
  • Ibadan Branch Coordinator: Oni Ayodeji Emmanuel
  • Lagos Branch Coordinator: Oluwatobiloba Babatunde-Ayoola
  • Abuja Branch Coordinator: Slim-Wonah Oluwaseun Oluwatomi (née Adetayo)
  • Canada Coordinator: Seyi Adepoju

Ogunlade highlighted the alumni’s strong collaboration with ACU’s management and revealed plans to establish an endowment fund for research and faculty support, helping to curb brain drain in academia.

As ACU celebrates its 20th anniversary, the alumni body is calling on graduates to actively participate in the university’s growth and reform. Ogunlade urged members to rally behind the new executives, emphasizing the need for unity and visionary leadership.

In a major move to enhance alumni benefits, the association has launched a new websitewww.acu-alumni.com. The platform will facilitate transcript processing and, notably, serve as a loan disbursement hub for members venturing into small-scale businesses.

“We have introduced initiatives to ease financial burdens on our members. This website will provide seamless access to alumni services, including loan support,” Ogunlade stated.
