First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has shared a post on her Instagram page on what appears as President Muhammadu Buhari’s latest directive to the Central Bank of Nigeria on the naira, as Nigerians groan under the pain of cash scarcity
The new directive showed that the President has approved the recirculation of the old N200, N500 and N1000 notes, which will now remain legal tender till May 1.
A press release by the apex bank announcing the latest development was shared by the first lady on her verified Instagram handle this morning.
The CBN once debunked the statement as false.
