Eldest son of the late former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, Feyi, top Nollywood actor, Ronke Ojo (popularly known as Ronke Oshodi Oke), top Nollywood producer, Tade Ogidan and the Publisher, Freedom Online – Gabriel Akinadewo were among those that made the list of the Ondo State government transition committee.
The committee tagged, the Strategic Development and Policy Implementation Committee, was inaugurated by the governor-elect, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, in Akure, the state capital, on Thursday.
Feyi was among the survivors of the ill-fated Associated Airlines’ flight, which was chartered to convey the remains of Agagu to Ondo State for the burial ceremony but crashed shortly after take-off from the old domestic terminal of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, on October 3, 2013.
Other members of the committee include the state’s deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, who is the chairman of the Steering Committee, the late Agagu’s younger brother and former Chief of Staff, Femi Agagu, and youngest among the aspirants that contested the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries with Akeredolu, Mr. Moyosola Niran-Oladunni, who was also the Director of Youth Mobilisation of the Akeredolu Campaign Organisation.
The committee also comprises ranking journalists, including the deputy chairman of Channels TV, Mrs. Sola Momoh, Chief Eric Teniola, who is the chairman of the Information, Orientation and Mobilization sub-committee, former Nigerian Television Authority’s news anchor, Sola Atere and former Chief Press Secretary to Agagu, Yemi Olowolabi.
Apart from the strategic committee, the governorship inauguration committee, which will coordinate Akeredolu’s inauguration ceremony, was also inaugurated.
Former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Funso Kupolokun, is the chairman of the committee, Director General, Akeredolu Campaign Organisation, Victor Olabimtan, is chairman of the protocol sub- committee, while the former Deputy State Chairman of APC, Ade Adetimehin is the chairman of the mobilisation sub-committee
