Pals: Khan and Joshua

British boxer, Amir Khan, has apologised to World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua.
Khan revealed on Twitter last week that he and his wife, Faryal, were ending their marriage, before reeling off a list of accusations about his partner.
Among the extraordinary claims was that he had discovered Snapchat messages between Faryal and fellow boxer, Joshua, which Khan promptly sent out to his Twitter followers.
Joshua was quick to deny the claims, posting a video of Shaggy’s hit song It Wasn’t Me in response.
But Faryal finally broke her silence over their split on Friday to reveal that messages supposedly sent between her and Anthony Joshua were fake.
In an tweet sent Friday morning, Faryal wrote: “I’ve been quiet for some time… because I myself didn’t know what’s going on. Everything that’s going on is just not right and a complete misunderstanding.
“The screenshots sent to Amir were ‘fake’ and Amir thought Joshua and I were speaking… when we have never even met. Anger took the better of him and he tweeted away without thinking there was absolutely NO truth to it.
“It’s all cleared up with both teams now and again, there was NOTHING like that going on. Apologies for all this nonsense. Let’s get on with life now…”
Khan then retweeted his wife’s note, then personally messaged Joshua, adding: “Glad all is cleared up and all lies. I got angry like any man would. No truth to it. Good to know. All the best.”

The heavyweight champion would later reply to Khan, writing: “Apology accepted.”
