General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), describing it as a divine milestone marking four decades of spiritual growth, unity, and impact in the Nigerian church.

In a message shared on social media, Adeboye reflected on the PFN’s humble beginnings and praised God for transforming a simple vision into a powerful movement shaping lives across generations.

“As the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) celebrates 40 years of God’s faithfulness, I am deeply humbled to see how far the Lord has brought His Church in this nation,” he wrote.

He added, “What began as a vision in the hearts of a few faithful men and women has become a mighty move, shaping generations, birthing ministries, and advancing the Kingdom of God across the world.”

Adeboye lauded the PFN’s founding fathers and leaders for their steadfastness, sacrifice, and obedience to divine calling, noting that their contributions have built a strong spiritual foundation for the Nigerian church.

“This celebration is not about us, but about Jesus, the One who builds His Church and sustains it by His Spirit. May the next generation burn even brighter with passion, purity, and purpose,” he said.

To mark the anniversary, Adeboye announced that a Special National Thanksgiving Service will hold at the RCCG Redemption City (Old Auditorium) on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 10am to 2pm.

The event, themed, “PFN: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow,” will bring together some of the most respected voices in Nigerian Pentecostalism, including founding and contemporary leaders of the PFN.

Among the spiritual leaders expected to grace the event are Bishop Wale Oke, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Archbishop Margaret Idahosa, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, Rev. Sam Aboyeji, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Apostle Joshua Selman, Pastor Jerry Eze, Rev. George Izunwa, Apostle Emmanuel Iren, and Pastor Daniel Olawande.

The PFN, founded in 1985, serves as an umbrella body for Pentecostal churches across Nigeria. Over the years, it has championed unity among believers, moral transformation, and advocacy for national righteousness and good governance.

The 40th-anniversary celebration, which highlights the theme ‘Growth and Impact,’ is expected to draw thousands of worshippers, ministers, and church leaders from across the country to give thanks for the Fellowship’s enduring legacy and spiritual influence.
