Abducted NTIC Students Are Seven Girls – Police

Students kidnapped at the Nigerian-Turkish International College (NTIC) yesterday have been identified as seven girls.
Reports had earlier put the number of victims at five – three students and two teachers.
But policemen who have been on the trail of the kidnappers exclusively told Newsmakers this morning that seven girls were abducted.
According to them, the kidnappers came in a boat and left in cars including a Hilux Jeep.
Ogun State police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the victims were abducted on the school premises at gunpoint.
Listed as one of the most expensive private schools in Nigeria, the NTIC that is also known as Nigerian-Tulip International College has 17 branches in six states in the country.
The Ogun State chapter of the school, just off the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, near the long bridge, was established in 2005.
Three months earlier, gunmen invaded Lagos Model College in Epe and kidnapped four students and two staff.
They were safely rescued by the police in Lagos.
