Abba Kyari: Police Vow to Flush out Bad Eggs

Pat Stevens/

The Nigeria Police Force has reiterated its commitment to flushing out all bad eggs from its rank and file.

The assurance was given by the acting Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, a Chief Superintendent of Police, in a tweet today.

The statement by the police is coming less than 24 hours after the arrest of suspended head of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari, a deputy commissioner of police, over alleged links to an international drug ring.

Kyari was arrested alongside four of his formersubordinates in IRT and handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), which had earlier declared the former IRT boss wanted.

Adejobi’s tweet reads, “We will always identify and flush out the bad eggs out of the police. We are committed to having people-orientated Police Force in Nigeria.”
