Two days after being declared wanted by the police in Ogun State, controversial hip-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, popularly known as Portable, has been arraigned at the Isabo Magistrate Court, Abeokuta.

Portable, who had been on the run following a warrant of arrest issued by the Magistrate Court in Ogun State, surrendered himself to the police in Lagos yesterday. He was subsequently handed over to the Ogun State Police Command, which presented him in court this morning.

The embattled singer faces criminal charges, including conspiracy, serious assault, going armed, breach of public peace, and attempted murder. The charges stem from a violent incident on February 5, 2025, in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu, Ota, Ogun State, where Portable allegedly led a group of armed individuals in an attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development at their Ota Zonal Office.

The Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued by the Inspector General of Police confirmed the severity of the case, prompting the court to issue a warrant of arrest against the 31-year-old artist.

Portable’s dramatic legal troubles add to his history of controversies, with fans and critics alike watching closely as the case unfolds. His arraignment in Abeokuta marks a crucial turn in the ongoing legal battle that could have serious consequences for his career and personal freedom.
