The police in England have confirmed the death of a 15-year-old boy stabbed at a school in South Yorkshire on Monday.
According to Assistant Chief Constable Lindsey Butterfield, another 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The incident happened at 12:17 GMT at All Saints Catholic High School in Granville Road.
Butterfield disclosed that the victim “suffered serious injuries and despite the best efforts of the ambulance service, he sadly died a short time later”.
Asked about reports of a lockdown last week at the school which related to “threatening behaviour”, Butterfield said it’s “very very early stages” of the investigation, but “we will review that”.
