Ace Broadcaster and journalism trainer, Mr Jika Attoh has died while receiving treatment for undisclosed illness at POSH Hospital in Enugu State.

According to family sources and associates, Attoh who was separated with his wife battled an unknown illness alone till he died at POSH Hospital, New Haven, Enugu.

Attoh, a father of three became famous as a presenter on
Kakaaki, a breakfast TV show on African Independent Television (AIT) and on Raypower FM in Lagos in the late 90s. As a foundation member of Raypower FM in Lagos owned by the late Raymond Dokpesi, he made statement with his golden voice and undying love for word pronunciation.

Attoh was also a news anchor at CHANNELS Television, Lagos.

He later moved to the defunct Cosmo FM, Enugu, a Station owned by former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani.

He was a Journalism trainer for the BBC World Service Trust (BBC MediaAction) in the EU-sponsored Nigerian Budget Monitoring Project, and Consultant Media Trainer for ENABLE in Nigeria.

Attoh had a wide range of experiences as Member, Board of Directors, West Africa Democracy Radio, Dakar Senegal; Deputy and Managing Director, Enugu State Broadcasting Service Radio & Television; Executive Director, Lagoni Broadcast System; CEO, BLAZE 91.5 FM, Anambra, and CEO, 105.5 COSMO FM, Enugu.

He was an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, the University of Lagos (Nigeria) and Oxford University, England.
