Scores of travellers have reportedly been kidnapped at a train station in Igueben, in Igueben local government area of Edo State.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the passengers were abducted by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.
The gunmen reportedly invaded the station about 4pm yesterday while passengers were waiting to board a train to Warri in neighbouring Delta State.
Several of the passengers were also injured in the ensuing melee.
Edo Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chidi Nwabuzor, a Superintendent of Police (SP), confirmed the incident this night.
