Don’t joke with fainting in a Muslim home, you might be six feet under before you know it.

Something close to this popular saying was at play today as arrangements were reportedly in top gear to bury a former deputy speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adetoun Adediran, whose death was announced this morning.

According to burial arrangements announced by the family, 51-year-old Hon. Adediran was to be buried by 2 pm at Ebony Vaults on James George Street, off Alagbon Close, Ikoyi.

But shortly before 2 pm, as undertakers commenced work on her body, they reportedly noticed a movement and quickly ferried her to the hospital.

Jubilation replaced wailing thereafter.

Hon. Adediran had also served APC as a state party and Lagos Central Women Leader.

NewsmakersNG learned after the publication of this story that four doctors who attended to Hon. Adediran at the hospital she was rushed to couldn’t keep her alive. She was confirmed dead and her body was returned for burial.
