The families of Mr. Ibukun Akintayo and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Olufunmilayo Fakeye and those of retired IGP Tafa Adebayo and Mrs. Olufunke Balogun kickstarted the wedding ceremonies of their children, Oluwafeyisayomi Omolade, a granddaughter of the late Minister of Justice, Chief Richard Akinjide, and Abayomi Tajudeen Balogun, yesterday in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The events will continue Saturday with the exchange of vows and reception at 4, Wilmot Point Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The engagement was witnessed by a former IGP Aliyu Atta; the current IGP Alkali Baba, represented by DIG Olufemi Folawiyo; former governor of Cross Rivers State, Chief Donald Duke; the Orangun of Ika – Oba Sakariyawu Owolabi Oladimeji, the former Managing Director of Daily Times and Chairman, Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University – Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi; Senator Lekan Mustapha, Mr. Ebun Sotunde SAN and his wife Mrs. Sotunde; the first female DIG in the Nigeria Police Force – retired DIG Cecilia B. Ugowe; retired DIG Taiwo Lakanu, retired CP Edward Ajogun, Chief Yinka Kufile, Chief (Mrs) O.O. Omiyale, Dr (Mrs) Phillips, Dr, and Mrs. Bola Adeyemi, the Chairman, All-Souls Hospital; Chief Niyi Akande and Mrs. Opetunde Akande; Chief Kola Balogun, and the CEO of Ovation International, Chief Dele Momodu.
