The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, says it will partner with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) to sustain its leading position as the purveyor of news in Africa.
The Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Dayo Oladebeye, spoke on Friday in Ado-Ekiti, while receiving Mr. Olagoke Olatoye, the South-West Zonal Manager of the agency in his office.

Olatoye was in Ado-Ekiti on
a working visit to the state offices in the zone, including Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Osun, Kwara, and Ekiti.

Welcoming the NAN team to the polytechnic, Oladebeye expressed gratitude to the management of the agency for visiting the institution, describing it as a worthy visit.

He said as long as he remained the rector, the management team would continue to cooperate and partner with NAN.

He also assured the news agency that their requests in the areas of partnership would be looked into and given speedy approval.

Oladebeye said that the developmental projects executed by his administration were due largely to the peaceful coexistence between the management and leadership of unions in the polytechnic.

He promised not to relent in his efforts toward achieving more progress and physical development, as well as the building of more human capacity.

The rector reiterated the determination of his management team to continue to think out of the box and embrace collaborative solutions to some of the institution’s challenges.
Earlier, Olatoye said that there was the need to partner with the polytechnic to enable the agency to sustain its position as the leading news agency in Africa.

“We have the capacity for quick and efficient delivery of accurate, reliable, comprehensive, and balanced information for our varied clients on a commercial basis,” he said.

While thanking the rector for receiving his the team, urged him to always embrace the spirit of dialogue on all issues between the management and unions to maintain an understanding that would enhance learning.

He described the already existing relationship between the institution and the agency in the state as one that was mutually beneficial.

Other members of the polytechnic management are Mrs. Kehinde Ekanem, Registrar, Olu Ayeni, the School Librarian, Dr. A. Olorunnisola, and Mr. Ade Adeyemi-Adejolu, the Director of Information and Protocol.
