Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, will on Friday host Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, five southwest governors, royal and spiritual fathers along with top industrialists at Ilora Farm Settlement, in Oyo as they commission a Cassava Processing Factory, Rontol Farms & Foods, to boost high-quality food production for nationwide distribution.
The private-sector initiative supported by Oyo State government is aimed at providing quality foods to enhance people’s lifestyle.
According to the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency, Rontol Foods Factory’s Cassava processing plants at Ilora has an input capacity of 20 tons of Cassava tubers for processing daily, and it will serve as a major processing center for the smallholder farmers around the location. The state government is supporting with several infrastructural developments, including power and rural roads.
The Chairman, Rontol Group of Companies, DIG Adeleye Oyebade mni (Rtd), said the event starting at 10am on June 4, 2021, would have in attendance Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu (Lagos), Governor Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Governor Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Governor Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbasamosi; the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi; Oba Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan of Ugbo Kingdom; Chief Michael Ade-Ojo; Pastor Enoch Adeboye; Ambassador Moji Yakubu; Maj-Gen. Obashina Ogunbiyi; MD of WEMA Bank, Mr Ademola Adebise; former governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, and retired Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Sunday Gabriel Ehindero.
