The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 437 new COVID-19 infections in the country, raising the number of confirmed cases to 46,577.

The agency made this known via its verified Twitter handle, @NCDCgov, yesterday.

The agency confirmed three more deaths, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related fatalities to 945.

It also disclosed that 33,186 people have recovered from the infection across the country.

According to NCDC, 107 new cases of the virus were reported in Lagos State, followed by the federal capital territory with 91 new cases, 81 in Plateau State, 32 in Kaduna State, 30 in Ogun State, 24 in Kwara State, 19 in Ebonyi State, 17 in Ekiti State.

Others are Eight in Oyo State, six in Borno State, six in Edo State, four in Kano State, three in Nasarawa State, three in Osun State, three in Taraba State, two in Gombe State, and one in Bauchi State.
