The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2019 governorship election in Ogun State, Senator Buruji Kashamu is dead.
His death was announced on Facebook today by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, who confirmed that he died as a result of COVID19.
According to Bruce, Kashamu died at the First Cardiology Hospital, Lagos after he was rushed there about a week ago.
He represented Ogun East Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber in the 8th National Assembly between 2015 and 2019.
