An online video has shown the moment a housewife was being flogged by some police officers, led by one Sergeant Iku Esan, while enforcing the COVID-19 lockdown in Iwo Osun State.

The woman, identified as Tola Azeez on Twitter, claimed she was trekking to where she wanted to buy some drugs and other essential stuff for her family when the police officers accosted her at Idowu Olota area of Iwo.

“I was going to get drugs (when) I met them and then they asked is that where I was living? I said no, (and) was trying to explain, then they started beating me with clubs and canes, about five of them.

“My body is all swollen. Already I had heard how Sergeant Ikuesan can be so mean to Iwo people who are law-abiding. But I’ve never met him in person until today. He refused to listen to me,” she tweeted.

She also shared a photo of the injuries she suffered as a result of the beating she received from the police officers.

The video of the incident was shared on Twitter by Nigerian entertainer, Ruggedman via @RuggedyBaba.
