Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently in a meeting with governors of the South West zone over the controversy surrounding the launch of the Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Operation Amotekun.
Shortly after the security outfit was launched on January 9, 2020, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, had declared it illegal.
Malami’s declaration had pitched him against the governors who have vowed to go with their plans to operationalise the outfit.
