A viral video has revealed how only one policeman was on duty at a polling unit in Lagos, which was attacked by suspected thugs during yesterday’s elections.
Thugs had invaded the polling unit located at Ago Palace Way, Okota, as voting was rounding off, chased away voters and set the ballot papers on fire.
In the video, the unarmed policeman is seen making fruitless effort to prevent the vandalisation of electoral materials in the completely deserted polling unit.
But the thugs easily kept him at bay until their mission was accomplished.
