Five Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIG) have been asked to proceed on new assignments.
According to a directive from the authorities, the AIG operations, Mr Taiwo Lakanu will take charge at Zone 1, Kano, replacing AIG Kayode Aderanti who is now in charge of Communications.
NewsmakersNG also authoritatively learnt that AIG Dan Bature is now in charge of Zone 3, Yola, while AIG Rasheed Olatunde Akintunde has been posted to Zone 5, Benin and Usman Tilli Abubakar – AIG Force Animal Branch (FAB) under ‘B’ Department (Operations).
The postings took effect from Friday.
